Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, near Ashford, has been awarded yet another coveted accolade at the hotly contested Kent Wedding Awards 2018. The popular venue won in the category Wedding Venue of the Year – Something Different, for the fourth year in a row, against strong competition.
The awards, now in their eighth year, celebrate the best of Kent’s wedding professionals and suppliers. Winners were announced at a glittering awards ceremony, held on Thursday 15th November at the Mercure Hotel Maidstone, attended by the County’s best wedding service providers.
Bob O’Connor, Managing Director said: ‘I am absolutely delighted that we have been recognised yet again at these prestigious awards. Our wonderful wedding team work tirelessly to ensure that couples celebrating their wedding with us have the perfect day and this is a testament to the team’s hard work.’
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve is Kent’s largest wildlife park. Home to amazing animals and the county’s only safari experiences, the 600 acre country estate is also a multi award winning wedding venue, offering couples an incredible location filled with romance, adventure, luxury and glamour.
Situated within one of the most picturesque and unique areas of the County, couples can choose to say their vows and celebrate their special day at a variety of locations around the Reserve, ranging from four star luxury at Port Lympne Hotel, to more intimate ceremonies at Giraffe Cottage or the Treehouse Hotel and nature inspired, country style weddings at Bear Lodge.
Kent Wedding Awards Judges commented: ‘So many interesting options to list!! Our judges loved how everyone can have a unique experience at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve- from a private ranger guided safari to star gazing in a shepherds hut, this venue really hit the mark as being “something different” Judges really liked that couples could say their vows in different settings such as an exotic Moroccan courtyard or a romantic Italian terrace and felt that these experiences were all backed up with great care, customer attention and a highly skilled team.’
At the very heart of the Reserve, the Grade 2 Listed Port Lympne Hotel and surrounding gardens provide couples with a choice of indoor and outdoor areas to say their vows, including romantic Italian inspired terraces and the exotic Moroccan Courtyard, decorated with handpicked antiques from the souks of Marrakesh. Indoor options include the muralled reception rooms, or Aspinall Suite, whilst the Lime Tree Avenue Marquee, situated within the beautiful gardens, is perfect for larger and dry hire weddings.
Bob added: ‘Due to popular demand, we made the decision to expand our wedding offering across the Reserve, so now we can help even more couples make their venue dreams come true, from traditional to something different, formal to casual and everything in between.’
To celebrate the award, the Reserve has announced a special wedding offer, which could see couples saving over 1k on their 2019 wedding. The offer, open to couples as a late availability package, will include a three course wedding breakfast, evening buffet, DJ and more.
