Get ready to sink your teeth into a brilliant day out at Howletts Wild Animal Park, near Canterbury, as BAFTA-nominated Andy Day, brings his Dino Raps show featuring energetic, interactive live performances to the popular visitor attraction.
Fans of all things prehistoric, young and old, are in for a real treat as they explore the newly opened Animals of the Ice Age exhibition, featuring life sized creatures from a frozen time, including the spectacular sabre toothed cats, mighty mammoth and giant sloth plus, join Andy, as he hosts two live performances of his famous Dino Raps – all included in the price of a day ticket!
Andy will be performing twice during the course of the day at the Pavilion Restaurant area of the popular visitor attraction and visitors are advised to bring blankets to sit on and appropriate clothing for the British summer.
Meanwhile, across the park, home to the largest herd of African elephants in the UK, visitors will also be able to join in with a variety of elephant themed activities, including the chance to explore behind the scenes of the Elephant House with a guided tour, costing just £15 per adult and £12 per child, with discounts for Annual Park Members.
Howletts is home to over 400 animals, including Kent’s only giant anteaters, the largest herd of African elephants in the UK and more gorillas, tigers, leopards and monkeys than any animal park in the County.
Visitors can not only get face to face with lions and tigers in their glass fronted enclosures but can also walk with lemurs as the inquisitive primates explore the branches above. For the adventurous, the Treetop Challenge, an obstacle course with tyre bridges, wobbly walkways and zip wire is bound to thrill and for younger adventurers, the Animal Adventure Challenge with climbing walls and bird’s nest swing is lots of fun.
