In April 2022, our partners at Love Lions Alive in South Africa wereinformed that a small, male lion cub was being held in awful conditionsat a farm close to the town of Warden.

Partnership with Wild & Free Continues to Save and Successfully Rewild Animals Across Mpumalanga Province

There are two main aspects to our work in this region: rewilding primates from our partner parks and saving them on the ground, often from the horrific illegal pet trade.

Back in Spring, the team at our partner park, Howletts, waved goodbye to abeloved pair of boisterous lion cubs, Azi and Zazu.

In September 2022 Alec and his wife Samantha undertook the challenge of climbing to the summit of Kilimanjaro to help raise vital funds for The Aspinall foundation - a charity which works to promote animal conservation around the world.

As 2022 ended and the new year began our dedicated Siamang Rehabilitation Centre in south Sumatra received the first four rescued siamang gibbons. Although the Centre is not yet fully open, this is an important step in this exciting new project.
