In September 2022 Alec and his wife Samantha undertook the challenge of climbing to the summit of Kilimanjaro to help raise vital funds for The Aspinall foundation - a charity which works to promote animal conservation around the world.

As 2022 ended and the new year began our dedicated Siamang Rehabilitation Centre in south Sumatra received the first four rescued siamang gibbons. Although the Centre is not yet fully open, this is an important step in this exciting new project.

Over the past few months, our Aspinall Indonesia team have been very busy across all the activities that form our Javan gibbon rehabilitation and release programme.

Under the expert direction of Country Director, Made Wedana, our team in Indonesia are progressing well with the construction and preparations for the first dedicated Siamang Rehabilitation Centre in south Sumatra.

Conservation Education enables people of all ages to learn about the natural world. It also provides the opportunity for people to appreciate their own country's natural resources and how to conserve them for the future. The Aspinall Indonesia team...

Our Indonesia Team continues to provide a full rescue and rehabilitation programme for t hreatened primates that have fallen victim to the illegal pet trade, which continued unabated in 2021.
